About the Company

The History of Redpin Publishing Spread of Redpin Publishing Magazines

In 1995 Redpin took over the Ridgeway Rider which then covered just Wiltshire and was printed in black and white. Rapid development followed including expansion of the area and the introduction of full colour and gloss print. The success of the new format prompted many enquiries from horse riders who wanted the magazine in their area. However further regional expansion of this title would have resulted in a loss of identity and focus for the readers so, in the ensuing years, five further regional publications have been produced each with their own strong identity.

In 2003 the regional title for the Midlands All Horse was launched, closely followed in 2004 by Equestrian Plus covering the North of England.

In 2005 due to the growth of the business the company went limited and one year later Wales' only dedicated equestrian magazine was started, Welsh Rider.

2006 saw the development of websites for all the titles. Keen to develop the company ethos of free access to good quality magazines the websites enable all magazines to also be produced in digital format using the latest in page turning technology. Redpin were the first publisher in the equestrian market place to make their magazines freely available using this format and whilst others followed many are still only readable through a paid subscription.

The magazine portfolio was further strengthened in 2008 with two further titles covering the South East of England in the forms of the South East Rider and East Anglia Rider magazines.

In 2008 our business consultancy service was launched supporting small, medium, and large business enterprises.

2010 was concentrated on expanding our web development services; having developed a range of cost effective packages enabling small businesses and individuals to establish an affordable online presence.

In 2011 we are offering bespoke e-commerce solutions to help businesses and individual to sell online easily and efficiently. We have expanded our equestrian titles and are delighted to add The Native Pony and the Scottish Rider magazines to our Publishing Solutions.
