At Redpin we are committed to trying to reduce our environmental impact in any way we can by becoming more efficient as a business and looking for technical solutions to assist us in this challenge.
We have a well established scheme of recycling at our offices, waste paper is recycled and confidential information is shredded and then composted. Staff members are encouraged to recycle, reduce and re-use wherever possible.
Our magazines are printed on paper produced by a mill that is accredited with the Nordic Swan, ISO 14001 and EMAS. The paper is manufactured using pulps from sustainable forests. This means that for every tree cut at least three more are planted in its place.
We work with our printers, distribution companies and production team to generate production schedules that enable reduced journeys from printer to distributor to outlets. Avoiding single journeys and enabling the magazines to be delivered as part of a route.
In 2006 we took the decision to also produce all our magazines in a paperless format using the latest in page turning software. This has increased the availability of the magazine to new readers without the impact of additional paper copy and distribution
